Encore Azalea Color Patterns

How to pick a color pattern:

An easy way to pick the perfect Encore Azaleas for your landscape investment is to choose a color palette that reflects your personality and complements the exterior color and style of your home.

1.  To warm up your landscape, go for a red and orange palette.

Autumn Embers™ (Rhododendron ‘Conleb’ PP#10581), features blazing red flowers, and works well with the warm and dainty Autumn Ruby™ (Rhododendron ‘Conler’ PP#12110) or the strikingly rich red of Autumn Sunset™ (Rhododendron ‘Roblen’ PP#16248) or the all new Autumn Fire™ (Rhododendron ‘Roblez’ PPAF).

For an impressive larger red azalea, try the intermediate-sized Autumn Monarch™ (Rhododendron ‘Conleo’ PP#11640) with its pink-orange blooms flecked with red.

2. To establish a cooler, more subdued landscape, try any of the three purple Encores.

The lavender blooms of the dwarf Autumn Lilac™ (Rhododendron 'Robles' PP#22762) are gorgeous in containers or in the yard. Need something a little larger? Autumn Royalty™ (Rhododendron ‘Conlec’ PP#10580), is a beautiful intermediate sized option and was voted Azalea of the Year by the American Rhododendron Society.

3.  Add contrast and elegance using white blooms of Autumn Angel™ (Rhododendron ‘Robleg’ PP#15227)or Autumn Ivory™ (Rhododendron ‘Roblev’ PPIP).

The intermediate-sized Autumn Lily™ (Rhododendron 'Roblex' PP25073) or Autumn Moonlight™ (Rhododendron ‘Mootum’ PP#18416) selections are ideal for mass plantings and foundation plantings. And all of the white Encores work well mixed with other colors.

4.  For a traditional look, there is nothing like a pink azalea to add classic color to the landscape.

Encore has 12 amazing selections that will do just that. Try Autumn Sundance™ (Rhododendron ‘Roblef’ PP#16184) or the dainty but rich pink blooms of Autumn Cheer™ (Rhododendron ‘Conlef’ PP#10579). Both are perfect for small garden areas and containers.

The double-ruffled blooms of Autumn Rouge™ (Rhododendron ‘Conlea’ PP#10438) (the original Encore Azalea) and the delicate pink of Autumn Debutante™ Rhododendron ‘Roblel’ PP#16278), will fill larger spaces with class and charm.

5.  Can’t decide on one color? Use one of the five Encore bi-colored azaleas, which offer interest and beauty to the garden with patterns of freckled, streaked and/or edged colors.

Try Autumn Starlite™ (Rhododendron ‘Roblem’ PP#15043) which features pink striped and speckled blooms, or Autumn Sunburst™ (Rhododendron 'Roblet' PP25072), with coral pink blooms bordered in white ruffles.

For a larger area, try the luscious layers of pink in the intermediate-sized Autumn Belle™ (Rhododendron ‘Robleo’ PP#19899) or the bold stripes in Autumn Twist™ (Rhododendron ‘Conlep’ PP#12133).

Of course, you can always mix and match any of these options to create tiers of color and style in your front yard, making your house a showplace for potential buyers or just for the neighbors.
